• These analog output style transducers are available in three sizes: 1/4 inch (standard), 3/8 inch (high power), and 5/8 inch (heavy duty).　These transducers provide an inexpensive solution whenever you need a simple alternating waveform to accommodate movement through a pole.　It is a passive device that does not require external power.　The output voltage is generated in response to variations in the self-induced magnetic field caused by approaching a moving metal part.　Comes in a sturdy steel case with two securing nuts.
• The output voltage is applied to a load of 100 kΩ with a gap of 0.005 inches at 20 kHz operation.　This corresponds fairly closely to a pickup 0.13 mm from a large 38 mm diameter gear with 30 teeth rotating at 13000 rpm.　The output is different under other conditions and is affected by the tooth composition of the large gear.　In unusual conditions, the following points should be noted when making experimental decisions:
• Use a pickup with a high impedance load and position the pickup close enough to be safe for moving parts. For fairly standard gear-based systems with up to 2.5 mm clearance, use pickups for the fastest large gears
