• Brought to you by the trusted RS Pro, these LED indicators are extremely bright and can be seen in the sun. The body has a soldering lug terminal and a chrome bezel. It is also sealed to meet IP67 grade intrusion protection and is suitable for outdoor applications in harsh environments. • What protection do these indicators provide?
• Each LED indicator has a protection rating of IP67. It is not completely waterproof, but it is completely protected from dust and other small particles. It can also be completely immersed in water (maximum depth 1 m) for up to 30 minutes. How this feature is used depends on the application, but if the above guidelines are followed correctly, the LED will continue to work smoothly.
• Why LED? • Long life and low power consumption are the main features of LEDs, but there are many other reasons.　Temperature — LEDs generate much less heat than incandescent or neon lights.　Directional — LEDs emit light in only one direction, reducing the need for additional components such as reflectors. However, this is not the case when LED indicators are used as circuit board signals.　Cost - Generally, LEDs are a cost-effective solution for purchase and operation because of their higher supply compared to standard bulbs and pilot lights.　Be sure to use a current limiting device, such as an appropriate series resistor, when operating this LED indicator.
