63-6564-23 RS PRO Type K Thermocouple 2m Length, 3mm Diameter → +1100°C 159-130
Features
- Conform to IEC584-1/2, Coloured according to the old British Standard BS1843-1952
- Thermocouples, bayonet adapters, connectors, compensators and extension cables have been phased out and replaced with new colour codes. Standard BS4937 Part 3 1993 (IEC 584-3 1989 modified for international use) For some probes, system calibration can be used, including full charging of the device and probe.
- Type K Thermocouples, Stainless Steel and Inconel/Industrial Inorganic Insulation
- Type K thermocouples are temperature measuring devices. It consists of two wires of different materials. The joining of these two wires forms an electrical contact. When the temperature of this contact changes, a voltage is generated, which is converted and read as a temperature. This is also known as the Seebeck effect.
- Features/Advantages: 316 flexible stainless steel versions with diameters of 1.5 to 3 mm can be selected. Excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, suitable for a wide range of processes and capable of full operation in sulfur environments. Cable with PVC covering 0.5 to 2 m and 100 mm in length. Operating temperature range: 0 → +800 °C.
- InconelR alloy 600 sheath type excellent in oxidation resistance up to 1100 °C. Diameter 1.5 → 6 mm, length 0.5 → 2 m. 100 mm PVC-coated cable.
- 3-Year Warranty
- Flexible sheath that can be bent and molded to suit a variety of applications and processes
- Insulated thermal contacts
- Type of thermocouple
- Type K thermocouple: Type K is one of the most commonly used types of thermocouples. The low-cost, popular Type K is accurate, reliable, and supports a wide temperature range.
- Type J thermocouple: Type J is also very popular because of its low cost, high performance, and high reliability. It supports a higher temperature range, but its life may be shortened.
- Type T thermocouples: Type T provides excellent stability and consistency. If the temperature is very low, such as below freezing, a Type T is usually used.
- Type N thermocouple: The accuracy and temperature range of Type N are similar to those of Type K. Type N has a slightly higher price range.
- Type L: Type L is specialized for measuring liquids such as liquid metals. It is commonly used in heating and experimental equipment engineering. This type of thermocouple is also cost-effective, efficient, and reliable.
