• RS Pro Type J thermocouple is a temperature measuring device. It consists of two wires of different materials. The joining of these two wires forms an electrical contact. When the temperature of this contact changes, a voltage is generated, which is converted and read as a temperature. This is also known as the Seebeck effect.
