The DF22 series has a maximum current capacity of 30A when used with 10 AWG wire. The housings of these DF22 7.92 mm headers feature a robust positive locking mechanism designed to prevent accidental unmating caused by drops or external shocks. When mated, a clear, tactile click is produced which confirms the connector is fully engaged guaranteeing a complete electrical and mechanical connection. This positive locking mechanism is on the centre of the housing which enables even locking and prevents cable entanglement that side locks can cause. Having locks on the side also offers space saving on the PCB enabling high density side by side mounting. The housing design also features various keying options to prevent incorrect insertion to the mating connector when connectors are used with the same number of positions. Guide posts are incorporated that help with accurate placement and orientation on the PCB and to prevent reverse insertion.
