• This kit is a micro: bit version of SparkFun's Weather Meters. micro: bit is an ultra-small microcomputer board developed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for the education of elementary school students.
• Weather Meters is a weather observation kit with wind gage, wind direction gage and rain gauge. A wind meter measures wind power by counting pulses of a reed switch that turns on when it rotates. The rain gauge counts this pulse because the reed switch turns on every fixed amount. The wind direction meter detects the wind direction from the resistance value of the potentiometer.
• The Weather: bit is an expansion board that can be connected to the micro: bit to measure barometric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, etc.
• OpenLog is a logger board that starts logging data by serial communication when the power is turned on.
