61-6949-46 [Discontinued]Wire Grid Polarizing Filter WGPF-30C

Features

  • Since a wire grid film with a 100~150 nm spaced aluminum wire network is used, linear polarization can be extracted from visible light in the infrared region.
  • It can be used for polarization experiments and for adjusting the amount of light using polarization.
  • An extinction ratio of about 10^-3 can be obtained in the infrared region.
  • Has superior heat resistance than absorption type polarization filter.
  • Since it is fixed to the frame, handling of the element is easy, and fixing to the holder is easy.
  • Only linearly polarized components vibrating in the direction of the metal frame mark are transmitted.
  • Also available is the Grantmson Prism (GTPB/GTPC), which provides a high extinction ratio and transmittance.
  • * On the short wavelength side, the transmittance and extinction ratio rapidly deteriorate.
  • * Most light that does not transmit is reflected.
  • * When using with a laser, be careful that the returning light does not return to the laser cavity.
  • * The wire grid surface is easily scratched, so do not rub with paper or cloth.
  • * If dust gets on the surface of the device, blow the dust with an air blow.
